The chart illustrates figures for three groups who chose to go to the museum from 1997-2012.
Overall,while the number of adult visitors and special exhibition visitors witnessed an upwards trend,the opposite was true for the proportion of under 15 years old visitors.In addition,the numbers of adult visitors had the highest ranking over the other categories.
Looking at the chart in more detail,the number of adult visitors who came to the museum was 300,100 people.There was a slight increase of around 100 people in 2002.In next 5 years,a significant increase of around 100,000 people was witnessed in the numbers of adult visitors.The year 2012.witnessed a drop of 20,000 adult visitors.In particular,the numbers of special exhibition visitors was 28,000 ,which was followed by increase to 29,200 in 2002.There was a significant increase of around 9,000 of special exhibition visitors in 2007.The year 2012 witnessed a significant increase of 5,000 in the numbers of special exhibition visitors.
Particularly,the numbers of visitors under 15 years old started with 120,000 in 1997,which was followed by a decline to 110,000 in 2002.There was a marginal drop of 4,000 to 87,000 in the number of visitors who were under 15 years old in 2007.In 2012,the numbers of visitors aged under 15 years old was 82,300 which decrease around 5,000.

Overall, adults were by far the largest group throughout the period. Adult and special-exhibition attendance increased overall, although adult numbers fell after peaking in 2007, whereas the number of visitors aged under 15 declined steadily.
In 1997, the museum received 300,100 adult visitors. This figure rose only slightly to 302,200 in 2002 before climbing sharply to a peak of 400,500 in 2007. It then decreased by 20,500 to 380,000 in 2012. Special-exhibition visitors followed a similar overall direction but remained much less numerous, rising from 28,000 in 1997 to 29,200 in 2002, 37,700 in 2007 and 42,000 in 2012.
By contrast, attendance among visitors aged under 15 fell at every recorded point. Their number decreased from 120,000 in 1997 to 110,000 in 2002, then dropped more substantially to 87,000 in 2007 before reaching 82,300 in 2012.
